The Start of a new era

And so it begins yet again

After what seems like centuries of waiting, weeks of preparations, and several minutes of actually setting it up... The new Sports Desk blog is officially open for business.

My old mentor, Luis, taught me long ago what I needed to do to get my voice out there, and I still remember his words to this day.

"Start a blog"

So here I am, hoping this will be just the start of what will be a long, great new era for myself and possibly the rest of my sports desk, if they're interested in that sort of thing.

So what will be the focus on this here blog (Besides my lame attempts at down-home country humor)? It will really be about sports, that one thing we all watch from time to time. I'll have my musings on the Salukis that will NOT be in the newspaper, along with great St. Louis Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, U.S. Soccer abd whatever else I think of in the future.

You can even follow the upcoming adventures of a guy trying to find the one basketball team in his life that will provide him with that warm feeling inside!

So I hope you guys can put up with the first couple of weeks. Never really worked on blogspot before or understand templates at all. If anyboyd would like to provide some pointers, then let me know.
